2023 Soohoh Art Concert

2023, finally underway, has come to us wrapped in darker words than any year before it. And yet Hermann Hesse writes, through the voice of his protagonist in *Peter Camenzind*, "I began to understand that suffering, disappointment, and melancholy exist not to torment us, hurt us, or strip us of our dignity, but to make us mature and to change us." If we can endure and overcome much with a steady heart, might we not meet a more mature, more changed version of ourselves by the end of this year?

For those living in the city — that space of everyday reality — Soohoh Gallery hopes this exhibition becomes a place of rest where you can envision a better life, warmer relationships, truer happiness, and, above all, your own transformed self.

The worldview each artist introduces through their work is like a forest all its own. We hope that the time you spend viewing these varied works becomes an occasion to explore your own inner world, and to picture concretely the bright future that is sure to come one day.
