David Hockney

David Hockney (b. 1937) is a leading figure of British Pop Art whose practice has spanned painting, photography, printmaking, illustration and stage design. Since 2010 he has drawn extensively on the iPad, work originally begun as gifts for friends, capturing the landscapes he sees from the windows of his home in Normandy, France. He continues to explore new media, exhibiting his digital drawings on screen displays.
