Choi Jay
최제이

Choi Jay builds metaphorical self-portraits from symbolically charged objects — flowers, deer, dolls, birds and candlesticks — arranged through digital collage and layered paint to explore the self and others as observed through social media. She studied printmaking (BFA, MFA) at Hongik University, and her work is held by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Korea, Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, and Sheraton Walkerhill, among others. She has held ten solo exhibitions since 2007, including several at Suhoh Gallery, and has shown at KIAF, PLAS Art Show and BAMA.
