Cho Dong-gyun Solo Exhibition: 'ZERO GRAVITY'

Cho Dong-gyun's work begins with the idea of "visualizing the recognition and action of line through sensation." Simple, clear line compositions create a sense of space that feels liberated from gravity, connecting to modes of existence in weightlessness.

The artist constructs his surfaces from pure lines, sharply distinguishing figure from ground while exploring how they coexist — lines through which objects and space, rather than remaining fixed, shift and influence one another. In the work, lines suggest the collision, separation, and rearrangement of entities floating in zero gravity, resembling the way specific forms can hold together when forces reach equilibrium in outer space.
