Hakason Solo Exhibition: A Chain of Linked Reaction

Within the category of the evolution and growth of humanity and environment, the work takes up destruction, extinction, stasis, mimicry, and union/coevolution, pursuing the tremors and patterns of change across an infinite, cyclical process of evolutionary movement.

It also attends to the process by which the human being is reborn anew — from the eruptions, friction, and wear that arise where inner and outer collide, through the expansion of body and mind, and onward to the expansion of space: a flow of continuity and cycle, a combination of concealment and revelation, explored within another skin, another flesh, with particular attention to the process by which mind and body transcend or shed their old form.

Through these works, Hakason proposes a worldview in which humanity and nature move beyond a long-standing tension to exist as partners in coevolution. Amid countless currents of coevolution, humanity overcomes its own lack and is at last reborn as an augmented, new humanity.
