Hyperrealist Painting Exhibition: Their Story in Realism

Seven hyperrealist painters — Kim Eun Ok, Seo Hyo Sook, Yoo Yong Sang, Lee Eun, Lee Heum, Choi Kyung Moon, and Choi Jung Hyuk — each render their subjects (wrapping cloths, flowers, wine glasses, stuffed toys, glass bottles, cakes, apples) with meticulous fidelity, carrying forward Korea's distinctive hyperrealist tradition since the late 1970s, which pursues not mere photographic reproduction but a clear philosophy and emotion embedded within the image.
