Heungbok Lee's canvases are ordered spaces built from elemental formal language — dots, lines, planes, triangles, and circles. Generated through restrained repetition and accumulation, they resemble structures built layer by layer from time itself, quiet yet resonant. As minimalism found essence through "less is more," stripping away ornament here opens a richer space for reflection.

The surfaces remain flat yet extend beyond themselves; repeated forms are alike yet each slightly different — like yesterday and today, like your life and mine, resembling but never identical. Through restraint and moderation, the work speaks the truths of life in silence.
