We are delighted to open the solo exhibition "Reinterpretation of Landscape Painting" by Haru K, artist selected in the 9th Soohoh Artist Open Call, at Soohoh Gallery as this beautiful autumn begins.
Landscape painting refers to the paintings so familiar and close to us — our beautiful natural scenery, portraiture, genre scenes, bird-and-flower paintings, and depictions of Taoist immortals. It carries the refinement and philosophy of our people, and offers a glimpse into the artist's worldview as well.
As we witness remarkable scientific advances, the artist lightly unpacks, through deep reflection and reinterpretation, how the convenience of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the expansion of cyberspace are transforming our ways of living and communicating in the real world.
