Kook Dae Ho Solo Exhibition

Capturing fleeting impressions from cities such as Paris, New York, and Rome, this exhibition marks Kook Dae Ho's third solo show at Soohoh Gallery, following 2010 and 2011. Alongside new works in his city series, the show introduces new pieces from his jelly-bean series, reflecting his relentless inquiry into color developed over years of research into abstraction and figuration.

Through dramatic compositions drawn from cityscapes, a sensory palette shaped by his deft handling of light, and the sweet, dreamlike forms of jelly beans, the artist gives voice to an emotion entirely his own.
