Kim Jung Hee: Solo Exhibition — Manlike

Kim Jung Hee transfers cross-sections of the world we live in onto flat photographic surfaces, then reworks them through her own emotional experience and concepts. The advance of the camera greatly eased the burden on artists who once labored over realist depiction. The value of art continues to expand and progress, reborn through historical insight, creative sensitivity, and technique layered on humanistic concepts and philosophical reflection. Kim Jung Hee's work opens new vantage points through temporal and spatial choices and expansions, guiding us through perception and synesthesia into the past, present, and even the future. Selected as the 8th Soohoh Artist in 2016, we celebrate her solo exhibition and are delighted to present the work of such a capable artist.
