2019 Soohoh Art Concert

In 2019, the Soohoh Art Concert presents this year's exhibition under the subtitle "Asking Art the Way."

Our people have endured countless trials and hardships throughout history. Even in moments of crisis we never lost our reason, achieving remarkable growth through patience and perseverance, diligence and sincerity — all while never forgetting the refined sensibility and culture of our ancestors.

Having passed through an age of modern abundance and rapid industrial growth, we now enter the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, confronting the many issues this age urgently demands we face, alongside philosophical questions about our own lives.

On issues of environment, religion, ideology, polarization, and an aging population, Soohoh Gallery has, for more than a decade, spoken through the discourse and exhibition concepts of many artists — carrying historical, humanistic, and philosophical messages. Through these messages, we want to tell each of us, and beyond that, our society, our nation, and humanity, that while we live in the present we remain finite beings, and that the true path lies not in material possession but in spiritual abundance.

Everything we possess will one day be left behind in this world. May we all truly realize that nothing is ultimately ours, and hold in our hearts the wish to understand and respect one another, as we come to a genuine awareness that we are merely travelers passing through this place and this era.
