Hyeree Yoo paints fish swimming through impossible settings — forests, cactus-filled deserts, open sky — using their patterned bodies as metaphors for the diversity and struggle of human life. She studied painting (BFA, MFA) at Sookmyung Women's University and animation at the Korea National University of Arts, and her work is held in the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art's Art Bank collection.
