Miyoung Je

Miyoung Je works in stitched collage rooted in jogakbo, the traditional Korean patchwork technique, sewing hanji and fabric into patchwork landscapes of houses and flowers.

She studied Western painting at Dong-A University and Oriental painting at Hongik University (BFA, MFA). A Grand Prize winner of the Danwon Art Festival, she has held numerous solo exhibitions including "Patchwork Landscape" (Gallery Grimson, Seoul, 2020), "Gahwa — Wishes Dwelling in Houses and Flowers" (Suwon Art Center, 2016) and "Gahwamansaseong" (Hangaram Art Museum, Seoul, 2015).
