Kim Younghoon

Kim Younghoon, a graduate of Hongik University's painting program (BFA 2000, MFA 2002), paints landscapes titled "ReLandscape" that treat horizontal bands of color as both an answer to what the image depicts and as scenery re-seen through the continuity of the surface — an exploration of how remembered landscapes blur, fade, and are reconstituted into new, simplified forms. His solo exhibitions include shows at LJA Gallery (2019) and Soohoh Gallery (2013), and group exhibitions such as the Soohoh Art Concert (2019, 2021) and "The Next Big Movement" at Kimi Art Gallery (2018).
